Western Australia
WA is a fantastic region for high quality wine in Australia. It accounts for only 3% of total production in Australia and is home to many specialist producers. Best known is the Margaret River whose top producers turn out rich, complex, deeply concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay and some excellent Shiraz and Semillon. There is more variety in the Frankland River while Mount Barker has recently been hailed as the next premium sub-region. As ever time will tell but there is already much to be enjoyed from this part of the world and don't forget, our Pale Ale Little Creatures, comes from this part of the world.
