Victoria
Victoria is the most southerly of the mainland Australian wine regions and home to the sub-regions of Yarra Valley, Mornington, Geelong, Grampians, Strathbogie Ranges, Rutherglen and Heathcote, among others. The smaller wineries of the region are producing very good wine indeed, with Shiraz and Cabernet dominating the warmer, inland regions and Chardonnay and Pinot Noir more prominent in the maritime climate of the south coast.
Vintage Recommendations (Yarra Valley): 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2005
