Torrontes

Torrontes is the emblematic white grape of Argentina that was originally transported from Spain many years ago. But to call this grape’s spiritual home Spain would be far too generous since Argentina has embraced it to such an extent as to warrant its status as the home of Torrontes (this is also the case with Malbec, Argentina’s other adopted son). With that put to rest we can add that Argentina creates a good number of high quality dry whites from this grape. These are uniquely floral with a fairly rich and creamy texture.
