Pinot Blanc AKA: Pinot Bianco, Weissburgunder Pinot Blanc tends to produce a full bodied white wine of neutral flavour and rich texture. It is also quite good when made into sparkling wine. Planted throughout France and used extensively as a single varietal or blend in Alsace and also in Burgundy. The new world has picked up the baton and, if you know where to look, good examples can be found far and wide.
