Pinnacles, Marlborough, New Zealand

This is our very own label New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Bottled and made for us by one of New Zealand's top wineries, this is a wine that we feel ticks all the boxes. Recently we have been getting a little annoyed at the increasingly expensive examples of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc on the UK market and though there is certainly a place for top level NZ Sauvignon, we believe there is also a place for great value, top level NZ Sauvignon.
Pinnacles was sourced from premier vineyards in the Marlborough region of New Zealand and we were lucky enough to get our hands on it because 2008, Marlborough was particularly generous in terms of producing lots of great quality Sauvignon. As a result some friends of ours (who need to remain anonymous - to protect their own brand) had several thousand litres spare - which we happily bought.
The result is a restrained (for Marlborough!), elegant, mineral wine bursting with just ripe stone fruit and trademark grassiness.
We think Pinnacles has as many similarities with a Loire Sauvignon made in a hotter than average year as it does with the Marlborough style.
Look out for more great value classics from the Pinnacles range.
