Marco Parusso was first introduced to us as 'The King of Barolo' - not much pressure then as we proceeded to taste his whole range. The moniker was more than apt - Marco does make supreme wine - from perhaps Italy's best wine region and from one of our favourite grapes: Nebbiolo. His style of winemaking is fruit forward and powerful but with plenty of grace and bucket loads of character and typicity. Meticulously produced, all the wines have a certain shine and polish and drink superbly but need a little time to show perfectly. The whites were perhaps even more surprising and the two we feature are among the most enjoyable Sauvignon Blanc's you'd ever hope to drink. Enjoy!
