One of our favourite Italian white wine styles, from the warm south of Italy. This wine is beautifully fruity on the nose, with fresh peaches and a rich alluring quality. On the palate, those peaches are still there and the fruit is precise, clean and medium weight with a solid mineral backbone. There is a real restraint and balance with this wine and you get the feeling if made slightly differently it could be cloying and clumsy - instead it is effortlessly enjoyable. An Italian masterpiece - don't be afraid if you've never heard of Falanghina, you can't go wrong with this and are sure to impress if you brought it over for dinner.
