Hailing from the coastal Spanish region of Galicia, Albarino has long been one of our favourite white wines. This one has an impressive nose of sweet melons and citrus which is mirrored on the palate. This is all delivered in a medium bodied wine showing loads of characteristic minerality and crispness. Plenty of character from a different, affordable and attractive white wine - take a risk and try it.

Galicia is a very individual region within Spain, with a language and culture all of its own. It is also home to arguably Spain's greatest white grape variety, Albarino, which grows on the traditional pergolas all over the Rias Baixas area of Galicia. This is a cool, strongly maritime influenced region. Many of the producers in the regions are very small and, as a result, prices for Albarino are pretty solid. Lagar de Bouza is one of 2 wines, both Albarinos produced by a small cooperative of 5 local vineyard owners (The other being Albarino Castel de Bouza) . The Lagar de Bouza It is a fuller, rounder style of Albarino but still retains the essential character of the grape - minerally with citrus fruit and hints of salty maritime air.
