Grenache
AKA: Garnacha
This light-coloured variety is one of the most planted grapes on the planet. It produces supple, fruit laden red wines that tend to be low in tannin. With low yields and careful vineyard management it reaches its full potential in the best Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s, old-vine Australian Grenache and the beautiful wines of Priorat in Spain. It is wonderfully drinkable and robust, reaching impressive levels of complexity.
