Gewurtztraminer
AKA: Traminer

This has to be the most fragrant, perfumed and aromatic of all the major grape varieties and often produces heavy white wines with an off-dry character. As a late-harvest wine, it also makes deliciously rich, honeyed, exotic whites. It is quite a difficult wine to get right but the best examples have world class balance and complexity. Allied to the range of flavours that Gewurtz has to offer, the resulting wines can be stunning.
