As Italian white wines go, we think this is one of the best out there. This is what Pinot Grigio is all about and miles away from the insipid varieties that decorate shop shelves everywhere. The first thing that hits you is the wonderful nose - part beeswax, part citrus with a touch of white pepper. Once in your mouth, the nose makes all sorts of sense as you get loads of citrus fruit that is both waxy and mineral at the same time - it has plenty of weight when it first hits your palate then the broadness dissipates and gives way to clean fresh fruit, minerality and an enticingly spicy and light finish with great length. PInot Grigio does not come much better than this.
