Many Pinotage's are quite frankly not that great to drink. The overtly rubbery/tar-like character the style is associated with isn't something we really like at Wineaux, so when Dennis Kerrison of Doolhof opened a bottle for us to taste we were sceptical. However, this one really works with loads of ripe dark fruits, silky in the mouth and with a clean, light finish. Well worth trying as this is one of the world's truly unique wine styles. Not you average Pinotage!
