Spicy, big, rustic but all done with a definite style and grace. This is great value, traditional Cotes du Rhone made from older vines by a local expert, Bernard Latour. Lots of full dark fruits on the nose which is always laced with pepper and spice. Once in the mouth the wine speaks of the warm southern Rhone climate with its rich concentration, full mouthfeel and long satisfying finish. A great meat match.
