Inspired by the greats of Pomerol and St. Emilion and painstakingly hand-crafted, this is a Merlot that stands among the very finest examples in the southern hemisphere. The first vintage declared by the legendary Domaine A in a decade, total production was a mere 230 cases. We're proud to be the only stockist in Europe.

The wine itself almost glows with a beautiful purple hue, arousing the senses with a pronounced nose of rich plum and blueberry fruit. On the palate the wine is glorious - voluptuous and full, with a superb silkiness and balance. The fruit character is followed by waves of smooth cedar and vanilla that reflect, along with the wine’s natural acidity, the unique Tasmanian terroir. Absolutely compelling, this is a wine that delivers on every level, with each mouthful just getting better and better.

The wine is unfiltered for maximum flavour and authenticity and aged in 225 litre new French oak barriques. Although the wine is youthful, and the fruit character predominant, it is already drinking very well. It will, we are certain, age exceptionally over the next five years. All the signs are there - big fruit, great acidity, tannic structure and superb balance.
