The Clos de la Truffiere, so called because truffles grow among the vines. A lovely nose of ripe dark fruit laced with a savoury, truffle character. The wine is not massively proportioned on the palate but has substance and is layered with complexity. First, the ripe fruit is evident then a savoury, spicy edge comes through finishing long and smooth with that same flavour. Very interesting and a superb food match for meat or cheese, and of course truffles!
