Corvina This late ripening, thick-skinned grape is used in the Amarone, Valpolicella and Recioto wines of the Veneto. Made in a number of different ways and usually in a blend, the wines from Corvina can be light and easy cherry flavoured wines like Bardolino or, when made in the Recioto method to make Amorone, huge and richly textured with a port-like consistency and staggering power and complexity of flavour.
