Cinsault
AKA: Cinsaut
 
This grape is widely planted in Southern France and one of the two grapes blended to make Pinotage (Pinot Noir is the other). Now also widely planted in North Africa. With low yields it can produce supple and perfumed wines.

Secondary flavour character: oak, vanilla, musk, savoury meats
