A nose of pure plum and cassis fruits laced with violets almost jumps out of the glass at you. The tannins on the wine have fallen away slightly and the balance of the wine is just about perfect now. Smooth, elegant and a superb expression of Merlot from Bordeaux's right bank. Classic St Emilion from a lovely vintage and drinking perfectly right now in 2010.
