Chardonnay

Chardonnay is the world’s favourite green grape variety and produces an amazing variety of white wines. Like Pinot Noir it is highly prized for its ability to take on complexity and secondary flavours from ageing, oak and terroir, something no other grape variety achieve to the same degree. This is why Chardonnay ranges from light and minerally to rich and buttery, two styles that live side by side in Chablis and Burgundy. Champagne is the other home of the great Chardonnay grape where with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, it makes the world’s most famous sparkling wine. An enduring favourite of ours, no matter what the 'anything but Chardonnay' lobby thinks!
