Castello Romitorio dates back to the 12th century and has been restored to its former glory by Romitorio owner Sandro Chia, one of Italy's most celebrated contemporary artists. Romitorio's winery was developed under the stewardship of Carlo Ferrini - renowned as one of Italy's top winemakers - and employs a mixture of traditional viniculture, artisanal winemaking and state-of-the-art cellaring to produce a number of top red and white Italian wines.
Custodian of one of the world's most cherished appellations, the unique philosophy of Castello Romitorio sets it apart, even among the greats of Brunello. The winery produces a stunning range of red and white Italian wines made traditionally but with a nod to the avant-garde. Already cherished by a dedicated following in Italy and the USA, Wineaux is keen to bring the joys of their wines to the UK Wineaux's.
