We're very proud of one of our latest additions, this Aussie blockbuster from Bendigo is everything you'd expect and more. A fragranced, eucalypt aroma laces the dark fruit nose. There are also hints of black tea that make this Aussie very intriguing inideed. Once on the palate it is clear there is some good structure to this wine and though the cassis, dark berry character is full and forward the wine shows poise and good balance. Its a thoroughly satisfying mouthful and finishes long, ever so slightly sweet and smoky. Throughout the wine shows some age and is beginning to drink perfectly - enjoy until 2015.

2004 was a stella vintage in many regions of Australia and Bendigo was no exception.  The winery has just released their 2004 reds and the wines exhibit all the hallmarks a wine should from the likes of Blackjack, which James Halliday has elevated to the maximum five-star rating, reflecting "An outstanding winery capable of producing wines of the highest calibre" From all reports, the 2004 vintage was everything the region could have hoped.
