Barbera

This is a high-acid variety and one of Italy ’s most planted grapes. At its best, when yields are kept low to ensure good fruit concentration and small new barrels are used to impart structure and complexity, Barbera can be a world calls wine. However, the grape often produces good value, fruit driven, juicy reds. Excellent examples come from the Piedmont region and also from California.
